Frightfully Halloween

This tutorial was written for those with working knowledge of psp.

 

Supplies
Tube and font of choice
my scrap kit that can be found

Artwork is paid for and licensed to me.  Do not use the same graphics unless you hold a license to do so.

 

1. Open a new image 600 x 600 and flood fill with white. Choose one of the papers to use the mask on and copy and paste as a new layer. Have the mask open in psp. Go to layers - new mask layer - from image and find the WSL Mask 247 in the drop down list and apply. Right click on the mask layer and merge group.

2. Choose one of the frames and copy and paste as a new layer. Resize as needed. Choose another paper for the background for your frame and copy and paste as a new layer. Move this layer under your frame layer. Now take your selection tool set to rectangle and draw out the selection so that it is a tiny bit larger than the open part of your frame. Go to selections - invert make sure you are on your paper layer and then hit delete to remove the excess paper outside of your frame. Deselect.


3. Open the tube you will be using and copy and paste as a new layer. Move this under your frame layer also. Now click back on the frame layer and use your rectangle selection tool and draw out the selection as you did in step 2. Selections - invert make sure you are on the tube layer now and then hit delete to remove any of the tube that is outside of the frame. Deselect.

4. Add a drop shadow of choice to your tube. Then close off the background and the mask layer and merge visible. Add a drop shadow of choice to your frame. Now you can open back up the background and mask layer.

5.Copy and paste the bat as a new layer and resize as needed. Duplicate and mirror image and resize the bat again. Duplicate and mirror image the bat again and resize. Rotate and arrange to your liking. Refer to my tag. Add drop shadow of choice to your bats.


6. Copy and paste on new layers other elements of choice resizing and add drop shadows of choice.

7. Add a new layer for your text. Go to image resize by 85%, all layers checked bicubic resample. Add your watermark and copyrights on a new layer.

8. Once you are pleased with the placement of everything export to the png or jpg optimizer and save.
