Tree Trimming Time

This tutorial was written for those with working knowledge of psp.

I am using the art of Al Rio.  You must purchase a license to use his work.

This is very quick and easy!!

1. Open the template and duplicate. Close the original one. Close off or delete the layer with the watermark. Click on Shape 1 layer. Go to selections - select all. Choose one of the papers from the kit and copy and paste as a new layer. Position it to your liking then go to selections invert, make sure you have your paper layer highlighted and hit delete to remove the excess.

2. Highlight the layer called shape 3. Go to selections - select all. Copy and paste another of the papers as a new layer. I resized mine about 50 %, position it to your liking and go to selections, invert and make sure you are on the paper layer you pasted, then hit delete. Follow these same steps for the remaining shape 2. Add a drop shadow of choice to each of these layers. I close off the original shapes layers after finished with them.

3. Highlight layer shape 4. Go to adjust brightness and contrast. Play around with the settings until it turns a med shade of grey. Then go to adjust hue and saturation. I wanted mine red so I typed in the numbers 255 and 255. Now that turned it not the shade of red I wanted. So now go back to adjust brightness and contrast and I set mine at -108 and 4.

4. Add other elements of choice from the kit on new layers. I added the red bow and the christmas tree. Add drop shadows of choice.

5. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Add drop shadow of choice. Add a new layer for your text.

6. Once you are happy with everything, resize by 85%, bicubic resample, all layers checked. Add a new layer and add your copyrights and watermark.

7. Export to your jpg or png optimizer and save!
